Exciting Email Updates Coming to Shared Servers

We’re thrilled to announce the next phase of our email platform upgrade: MailChannels will soon be deployed across our East Coast and West Coast shared servers!

Following the successful November launch of MailChannels on our Amsterdam servers, we’re expanding this enhanced email solution to provide all our shared hosting customers with improved email deliverability, better spam protection, and simplified email management.

Why This Change Matters

This transition to MailChannels is designed to enhance your email experience, offering key benefits such as:

Improved Deliverability: MailChannels’ extensive network of over 4,000 managed IP addresses ensures your emails are less likely to be blocked or flagged as spam and reach recipients more consistently.Advanced Spam Filtering: Robust filters reduce spam and provide stronger email security.Live Email Metrics: A user-friendly dashboard offers real-time insights into inbound mail and settings.Seamless Integration: MailChannels works smoothly with our existing systems, ensuring efficient and reliable email management.

What to Expect During the Upgrade

Here’s what this upgrade means for you based on how your DNS is managed:

If You Host Your DNS with Us

You’re all set!

We will automatically update the DNS settings for your domain on the launch date. You do not need to take any action.

This upgrade will ensure better email deliverability and reduce the chances of your messages being flagged as spam. Expect fewer bounce-backs and a smoother overall email experience.

If you have any questions, our support team is ready to assist.

If You Manage Your Own DNS

Action is required.

Since InMotion Hosting does not manage your domain’s DNS, you must update your DNS records before the launch date that you were emailed to ensure uninterrupted email delivery. Without this update, your outgoing emails may face higher bounce rates and potentially fail to reach their intended recipients.

What to Update:

SPF Record:Add the following to your domain’s SPF record:include:relay.mailchannels.net
Example:If your current SPF record looks like this:”v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:192.168.1.1 include:smtp.servconfig.com ~all”Update it to this:”v=spf1 +a +mx +ip4:192.168.1.1 include:smtp.servconfig.com include:relay.mailchannels.net ~all”** Keep any existing IPs and records intact. Only add the new section.
TXT Record:Add the following TXT record to your domain:_mailchannels.domain.com TXT v=mc1 auth=inmotionhosting** Replace “domain.com” with your actual domain name.

Once the transition is complete, you can remove the smtp.servconfig.com section from your SPF record, but please wait until instructed.

If you need assistance, our support team is here to help!
